Your mental health matters. Mental illnesses are health conditions involving changes in thinking, behaviour or emotion. It is a mental pattern that causes significant distress or impairment of personal functioning. Mental disorders comprise: -Depression. -Anxiety and panic attacks. -Eating disorders. -Personality disorders. -Psychotic disorders. If you are suffering from any of these or you are feeling suicidal, There are some tips and suggestions for you to abide. • You should surround yourself with people who makes you happy or just people you can feel positive around. • You can share your feeling with your friends or parents, they love you and will understand your feelings and may help in overcoming your disorder. • You should give yourself some space, instead of doing tasks that give you stress, you should do something that makes you happy. • Keep yourself busy by exercising, reading books, painting, journalising etc. as it may keep you out of blue thoughts. • You should do what makes you happy not what makes everyone happy. • There are many anxiety colouring books that include henna designs, they can help you to relieve anxiety and stress. • You should accept yourself as you are and love yourself :). There are many hotlines and websites that can help you in overcoming your infirmity. They are: -National Alliance on Mental Illness(NAMI) https://www.nami.org -PSYCOM will provide you with many helplines and hotlines. https://www.psycom.net -National Institute for Mental Health. nimh.nih.gov -Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.(SAMHSA) samhsa.gov I hope every single one of us can overcome whatever we are going through and be happy always! “What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.”
